South Korea

South Korea was formed in1948 when Korea was parititioned along the 38th parallel; the Korean War (1950-53) was followed by decades of hostility between North and South Korea, but a summit metting of two leaders was held in 2000. An emerging industrial power, South Korea has had one of the world's fast growing economies since 1960s.


North Korea



          In 1950, North Korea forces invaded the south, but in the war that followed were forced back ro more or less the previous border A communist state, which was dominated by its leader from 1948 until 1994, North Korean has always sought Korean reunification.
